Conor McGregor is one of the best fighters in MMA history. Coming from Ireland, a nation where men are well known as impulsive and willing to fight people, one day he decided to climb to the top of martial arts level using his dedication and hard work. He quit the job as a plumber to get fully focused on dream of being the champion, and that level of confidence with deep manifestation, made him recognizable as a „Mystic Mac”, the guy who does everything what he is told. But what does it mean? 

Well, that factor was special because a lot of new UFC fighters tried to be cocky and disrespectful to their opponents, and then stopped career with humiliation in the cage. Conor was different. He came out with the most confident and aggressive mind in all division, and turned his words into reality. For example, he said before the fight, that he would knock out Dustin Poirier in the first round, and then he did it in the most brutal way. Because of this attitude, fans called him „Notorious”.

After he had cleaned out all division, he faced a big challenge: a fight for the featherweight belt against the long-time undisputed Brazilian champion – Jose Aldo. Jose was unstoppable and an experienced old wolf, while Conor – a young and dangerous rising star. At the press conference, he said: „You are going to die” to Jose in his own language and called himself „King of Rio” in front of hundreds mad Brazilian fans. When the fight happened, the result of the match was shocking. McGregor turned Jose’s light out with the first punch in only 13 seconds. His performance was a masterclass. This feat took his fame to another, galactic level. People called him Muhammad Ali of MMA, and he got a chance to win the second, lightweight belt for the win against Eddie Alvarez. The result was predictable, absolute dominance by the Irish man, whose victory raised him to superstar status and later he even became a double champion.

This beautiful story has also a dark side, because achieving everything went hand in hand with moral decline. The money which he wanted all his life led him into alcohol, drugs and public scandals. All of that made him ignore preparations for fights, and put him on the course of several losses, and then retirement. The story of Conor McGregor teaches us that having a proper mindset makes a big possibility to attract whatever we want, but going through this, there is one very important thing to understand – it’s hard to be hungry, when our plates are full.
