Why do we need expensive Valentine’s Day gifts when we can create memories?

A romantic dinner, a bouquet of roses and chocolates are very predictable ideas for Valentine’s Day. Think about it, wouldn’t it be better to spend this time creatively?

💗 Create portraits

Can’t paint? That’s not a problem. Buy some canvases, a set of paints and brushes. Paint each other’s portraits and don’t show them to each other. When you’re done, admire your works of art together. This activity will give you lots of laughs!

💗 A romantic dinner at home?

For one evening, we can become chefs and create something delicious together. Imagine cooking your favourite dish. Have fun and help each other like true partners. When your meal is ready, you can become prestigious tasters and enjoy it!

💗 Mug painting workshop

Time for a more expensive option, but still at a reasonable price. Paint something on the mugs that you associate with the other person. Let your imagination run wild. While painting, you can talk about memories, joke around and enjoy the moment. Imagine a cool evening, a warm blanket and tea from your lovely mugs.

💗 Dinner in the dark

I admit it sounds rather unusual, but I guarantee it’s a great experience. When I was in Warsaw with my boyfriend, we found a restaurant like this. The chefs and staff at this restaurant are visually impaired or blind. The waiter leads you into a completely dark room. You don’t know what you’re going to be served, so it’s a real feast of flavours. You strain your senses and guess what’s on your plate. During dinner, you are served a starter, a main course and a dessert. Between courses, the staff bring paper and crayons so that customers can test their drawing skills ‘by touch’. Only at the very end, when you leave,  you see the menu and check if you guessed what was on your plates.  I have very fond memories of this date, it was a unique experience.

I hope my ideas will help you organise unique dates, not only on Valentine’s Day.

💗 Have a good time! 💗
