Women’s football is becoming more and more popular around the world. A few years ago, many people did not pay attention to it, but today, it has millions of fans and is becoming more professional. In Poland, one of the most important clubs in women’s football is Medyk Konin, a team that has won many championships and helped train great players.
How Women’s Football Has Grown
For many years, football was seen as a sport for men. In some countries, women were not allowed to play in official competitions. In England, for example, women’s football was banned on professional fields from 1921 to 1971. But despite these problems, women continued to play and fight for their place in football.
Today, women’s football is growing fast. Big tournaments like the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the UEFA Women’s Champions League attract many fans. In countries like the USA, France, and Spain, women’s football is very popular. In Poland, more and more girls are starting to play, and the Ekstraliga (Polish Women’s League) is developing.

Women’s Football in Poland Today
The Ekstraliga (Polish Women’s League) is developing, but there are still challenges. Women’s football in Poland does not have many sponsors, and the media do not always pay enough attention. However, the level of play is getting better, and clubs like Medyk Konin, Czarni Sosnowiec, and GKS Katowice are helping the sport grow.
