New Year’s Resolutions

Hi Guys!

Today, I am writing  about a very important thing.  New year, new me! – how many times have these words been written and spoken lately? Resolutions1. Are they needed? I believe it is always better, instead of planning something for the distant future, to think about  short-term goals.

Let’s assume, however, that your resolution is to finally take care of yourself and your health. Are you sure, you are ready for this challenge? So you’re about to go to the gym for the first time. But is that your goal? Then, go to the gym. And what’s next? What will you do there? You will go to the cardio zone – run on the treadmill2 or  ride a bike. You’ll do a few sit-ups and some repetitions3 on different machines, often without even knowing what muscles to stimulate4.

If your goal is to take care of yourself, the first and most important thing is to plan your actions! A plan is something you need. It would be even better to have your own trainer – at least in the beginning to learn the basics5.

So let’s get back to planning our actions. You will never get results if you don’t plan your training properly. Even if your goal is just to feel better or look a little better, the key is to create a training plan and stick to it. So, the first thing you should do is to decide the frequency6 of your training – three training sessions a week is a good starting point in my opinion. If you can’t afford a personal trainer who exercises with you every day, at least ask someone for a training plan. Make sure that it is tailored7 to your abilities8 and goals – and that  it takes into account your strengths and weaknesses. Having a training plan will save you time wandering around the gym in order to look for a random exercise. Muscles need repetitive stimuli9 – the number of series, repetitions and following  the same training plan for some time is important.

So, be patient10 and share your progress if you want!
