Hello! Today I will tell you about my mountain hiking adventure: From Śnieżka to Wang Church. Mountain hiking is my passion, offering the thrill of heights, the peace of nature, and a sense of accomplishment. One of my favorite hikes is the journey from Śnieżka to Wang Church through Słonecznik in the Karkonosze Mountains (The Giant Mountains), Poland.

Starting from Śnieżka, the highest peak in the Karkonosze at 1,603 meters, the hike begins with lush forests that gradually give way to rocky terrains. From the summit, the panoramic views of the Czech Republic and Poland are breathtaking. The trail from Śnieżka to Słonecznik is marked by diverse landscapes and unique rock formations. Słonecznik, or „Sunflower Rock,” stands out as a striking natural formation, a favorite spot for photographers.

The Descent to Wang Church

Descending from Słonecznik to Wang Church, the scenery transitions back to lush forests. The Wang Church, a 12th-century wooden stave church from Norway, is a marvel of medieval architecture, making for a perfect hike endpoint.

The hike from Śnieżka to Wang Church is a blend of natural beauty, physical challenge, and historical intrigue. It’s a journey that I highly recommend for its enriching experience and stunning vistas.
