Logistics is the process of planning, organizing, and managing the movement and storage of goods, services, or information from the point of origin to the final destination. It involves tasks like transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and ensuring that items arrive where they need to be, on time and in good condition.

I’d like tell you that English is of great importance in logistics. English has become an international language and is very important in logistics. It the main language used in international business, helping companies from different countries to communicate easily. Many documents and agreements in global trade are in English, making it essential for understanding and compliance. Clear communication between manufacturers, shippers, and customers across the world often relies on English.
Most advanced logistics management systems, shipment tracking tools and warehouse management software are available in English. This means that this language is really necessary. Additionally, many of the best logistics education and certification programs are taught in English. Knowing this language allows access to training and industry literature.
In Europe, circa 250 million people speak English. This number includes both people who use English as a first language and those who have it as a second one. This means that English is common and necessary.

Let’s start with online learning. Platforms such as Duolingo, Babbel, or Rosetta Stone offer language courses that can be adjusted to your level and pace of learning.You can choose English courses with an emphasis on logistics and business terminology. It can be an online or stationary course. You can try reading industry articles, blogs and logistics magazines in English, for instance, there are sites such as „Logistics Management” or „Supply Chain Digital”.
