Christmas time is one of the most awaited periods¹ in a year. Christmas is not only about  shopping, household chores² or hours spent in the kitchen but also it is time for the people that are precious³  and things we like.

In  today’s post I would like to tell you about my  seasonal hobby which is making Christmas ornaments. I hope I’ll inspire⁴ you to try it yourself. 

When we bake gingerbread cookies and engage in do-it-yourself decorations, we kill two birds with one stone⁵: we do something pleasant and useful. Today I want to show you how to create a unique and extraordinary ornament.  

To make it, you need only two items:  

• A wire hanger⁶  
• Christmas balls⁷ (plastic or glass ones) 

Here are three easy steps how to prepare this Christmas wreath which you can hang on the door or put on the Christmas table. 

Ornaments made of natural materials are always stylish and unique. Mother Nature is the greatest source of inspirations and materials. Go to the forest in search of cones; you can use some branches⁸ and sticks of spruce or a few pieces of dried oranges, a cinnamon stick and star anise⁹. Handmade decorations are eye-catching¹⁰ and more valuable than the ones bought  in shops. The decorations that we make ourselves can please our eye until the New Year and they will certainly not be like the millions of decorations that have been decorating shop windows since November 1^st. If you have some problems with combining various elements, you can find some tips on websites such as Instagram or Pinterest. 

I hope my post will encourage you to create handmade¹¹ decorations and your tea will taste better  in cold winter evenings when you have a glimpse on the candle or a wreath smelling like dried fruit that you decorated on your own. 

You will feel great satisfaction and pride¹² because of that. Moreover, you will impress your friends and family.
