What is Carnival? Carnival is the time for crazy parties !
The name carnival comes from the Italian word carnevale with the same meaning, from Latin: carnem levāre („to remove meat”) or caro, vale („goodbye to meat”). Related words in other languages also mostly mean ceasing to eat meat. Each country has its own traditions and celebrations related to this period.
🎈🎉 DESCRIPTION OF CARNIVAL IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE WORLD🎈🎉
🎭🎉💃ITALY
The first information about Carnival was found in a document of the Doge of Venice, Vitale Faliero, from 1094. The participants wore masks and costumes that ensured their anonymity. Thanks to this, social and religious divisions disappeared for a while. Currently, the most famous carnival in Italy is in Venice. Italian customs and traditions during Venetian Carnival are truly spectacular. The most famous of them are the elections for the most beautiful mask, which take place every day during the Venice Carnival. Moreover, on the opening day of the event, there is a show on the water with the participation of people in costumes, artists and dancers, as well as a water parade on the largest canal in Venice – the Grand Canal.

🎭🎉💃NEW ORLEAN
In New Orleans, the largest city in Louisiana located in the south of the USA, one of the oldest carnivals in the world – Mardi Gras – takes place every year. Some street parades in New Orleans have a highly erotic character and many naked people participate in them. A special carnival treat in New Orleans is a king cake iced in the colors of Mardi Gras – purple (symbolizing justice), green (faith) and gold (power). The cake has a plastic figure inside, finding which requires organizing a party. After the parades, everything moves to the French Quarter. Participants go from a bar to a bar and drink colorful drinks made of rum and fruit additives. The celebration ends exactly at midnight (on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday), when mounted police enter the French Quarter. Then the gigantic cleaning begins.
