What can you watch in the evening in May? If you like the atmosphere of balls, aristocracy, dresses, dances and elegance, this is something for you! The Bridgerton! This series is based on the novels written by Julia Quinn. Eight siblings from the Bridgerton family are looking for happiness and love in the high society of London. I will introduce to you the plot of the first season. Make yourself some hot chocolate and read on!

We follow the story of Daphne Bridgerton, the eldest daughter of a powerful family. Daphne struggles with love problems. A woman definitely wants to get married. But, her older brother rejects all proposals made the candidates for her hand. Then, the Duke of Hastings, who cannot stay away from women interested in him, appears. He  doesn’t want to be with any of them, but he catches Daphne’s attention.

A new interesting thing happens. Lady Whistledown gets down to work – a slander against Bridgerton appears. Who is Lady Whistledown?  She is the author of a popular gossip magazine and she writes anonymously about the secrets of all families. But, Daphne and Simon  find the perfect solution that will benefit them both. The young people decides to fake their relationship. This plan, however, does not bring good results. After many troubles, the couple finally realizes that they loved each other.

A lot of other interesting things happen during this season.  To begin with, Daphne’s sister, Eloise, begins to investigate Lady Whistledown. Next, the story of the Featheringtons, another powerful family is told.

In the last episode of the first season, after complications, we have a happy ending for Daphne and Simon. Eventually, they even have a son. 

This is just the story of the main couple.  You can learn more by watching this TV series. The second season mainly shows  the story of Daphne’s brother, Anthony Bridgerton and his complicated love. If you are interested in this story then  watch season 2 and 3! 

I think that the series contains perfectly combined historical and modern themes. Love stories, intrigues and action were mixed and created a wonderful story. The music and clothes also match perfectly. 

Bridgerton Season 3 will be on  Netflix on May 16! 🙂
